Annette Hargett
Lead and backing vocals
Annette joined the Blue Lizard Band in 2012, adding lead and backing vocal support. She joined Blue Liz after performing with some of the other band members in a theatrical production of the musical Godspell. Her addition to Blue Liz brings extra energy to our shows and has broadened the base of song titles in the Blue Liz library, with songs made popular by Stevie Nicks, Susan Tedeschi, Joan Jett, Little Big Town, The Doobie Brothers, and Linda Ronstadt, just to name a few.
Annette started her singing career at age 17 when she participated in a local Miss America scholarship pageant and in Seattle’s Miss Seafair scholarship pageant as a Seafair princess. Both talent competitions helped her earn money for voice lessons with the late, great Maestro David P. Kyle. Maestro Kyle was a musical mentor for countless accomplished singers over the years who trained the likes of Geoff Tate of Queensrÿche, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, Ann Wilson of Heart and many more. These legendary performers all trusted Maestro Kyle for their vocal coaching.
Annette also performs with her company band, the Cargo Kings, and has appeared on stage with recording artist Julia Carlucci as well as musicians from the bands of Stevie Wonder and Kenny Loggins.
